We are looking forward to our Managing Director, Steve Whitmarsh, and his team taking part in a fabulous golf day at beautiful Henley Golf & Country Club on the 6th September 2011.
Of course, it’s always a treat to get out on the golf course with friends from the ranks of our customers & colleagues. However, we’re particularly pleased to be supporting this event which is to raise funds for the very worthy cause – CRY : Cardiac Risk in the Young
The charity’s patrons include the likes of Sir Ian Botham OBE who is Honorary President of CRY, Graeme McDowell & Sir Steve Redgrave CBE
The event is being held in memory of Adam Middleton who sadly and tragically passed away on 3rd February 2011 aged 23. Adam died of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) as a result of an undetected heart defect. Adam was a fit and healthy young man who was a keen weightlifter and was also studying to be a personal trainer/fitness instructor.
The organisers, Ryan and Donna Brittain, aim to hold an annual golf event to raise awareness and funds to support the work carried out by CRY. Ultimately, they wish to be able to fund a screening day in Stratford-upon-Avon which will be funded by “In Memory Of Adam” and will be free to anyone who registers for a 15 minute screening session.CRY also offer support to families who are unsure of what to do when faced with a tragedy similar to Ryan and Donna’s.
The Golf day is being held on the 6th September 2011 at Henley Golf and Country Club (Henley in Arden)
The agenda for the day includes a Golf clinic with Dan Thomas (Golf Pro) and then a 12 noon shotgun start.
There will be a dinner for all participants (non golfers are welcome to attend the meal) which will include an after dinner speaker
The cost of entry is a very reasonable £300 per team of four, or £75 for individual places and this includes 18 holes Golf, T-Shirt, 3xGolf balls, 2 Course evening meal, Entertainment – there are also plenty of opportunities to get involved with the sponsorship of the event and get your business in front of many local businessmen!
